Pheasant Hunting

image2We raise corn and milo on about 4000 acres of farm ground. A percentage of this ground is managed exclusively for producing great pheasant habitat. Some milo fields and feed fields are left unharvested, just for pheasant hunting. We have a section of CRP grass that adds a totally different type of hunt.

It takes the right cover to reproduce pheasants and keep them around throughout the season. Fortunately for us, southwest Kansas naturally produces this type of cover. Our area of the state is well-known as one of best of pheasant hunting locations in the country. Our farming efforts have been to simply supplement this natural resource, in order to produce ideal pheasant hunting conditions and plenty of shots for your hunting party. We know it’s paid off and challenge you to find a better pheasant hunting experience than at Flying W Outfitters.

Our hunting acres are licensed for controlled shooting. This type of license entitles me to give my hunters more of an option when hunting on the Flying W Ranch. I can regulate my bag limits and hunting dates, you don’t need a hunter’s safety card, and most importantly: I’m able to offer you a hunt with an affordable $17 license that can be purchased at the ranch.
